“The court has acquitted Hubert Webb, Antonio Lejano, Michael Gatchalian, Pyke Fernandez, Miguel Rodriguez, Peter Estrada and Gerardo Biong,” Supreme Court spokesman Midas Marquez told a press conference.
Seven magistrates voted for the acquittal, four voted against, four others abstained. Maquez, spokesperson of the Supreme Court said that prosecution was not able to prove their guilt beyond reasonable doubt. And that the quality of testimonies of the witnesses, including those of Jessica Alfaro “could not be relied on.”
Going back to what happened - On June 30, 1991 Estrellita, Carmela and Jennifer Vizconde were brutally killed inside the Paranaque abode.
I am looking forward to the decision that Supreme Court will come out about Visconde Massacre. And finally the time comes; Hubert Webb and the rest of the convicted murderers were acquitted. So if this is the case if they are not responsible for the crime. Who is/are accountable for this massacre? What then is the next thing to do? Should the policemen start again on looking for the person who committed this horrible crime? Starting from the scratch - justice in the Philippines is really hard to get unhappy to say that. I feel sad for Mr. Visconder and looking at him while he was crying on television is a mix emotion for me. I am really sad for him and he never expected that the result will be this way. He doesn’t get the justice that he is looking for. But don’t worry if you can’t get justice here on earth we all know that Visconde family will get justice somewhere else, God knows everything.

My dear...you and me, both. I, too, am saddened by the turn of events. May the souls of the Vizconde girls rest in peace. I doubt that those responsible will find any genuine peace within themselves. God knows all.
who will pay for the injustice done to the family? my heart goes to Mr. Vizconde.
I am surprise at the same time not surprise. You see this people who are convicted are from affluent family and you know how it goes in the Philippines. Pag mayaman laya pag wala kahit inocente jailbird ka forever. Peksman may isa dyan na tatakbo sa politika at mga tao naman boboto dyan. Kaka-highblood!!!
justice ine the land is different from justice in heaven. Mr. vizconde will soon achieved justice in heaven.
Maybe they are really innocent, but not really sure. The question is, who did it? Why take so long and this will be back to square one.
This is rather a sad news for me. I am sorry for Mr. Vizconde.
difficult to find justice in the philippines...
I totally agree with teKim...iba talaga sa pinas...it's surprising kasi akala ko tapos na to....thanks for sharing sis!
No one knows where will we find true justice. It's always unfair. Kung sino yung may sala, siya ang pinaniniwalaan. What's going on in our country. Tsk! btw, greta to meet you at Facebook Pinay Mommy Bloggers! visit me back :)
I'm really sad about the decision our SC made. I felt sorry for Mr.Vizconde.. Well, just live it up to God, just like you said, He knows everything.
